Dragons Beyond Third-Party License
Dragons Beyond is a clone of the 1973 draft rules for Original D&D, and we encourage the community to create and share their own content based on these rules.
This page explains what you can do with Dragons Beyond when creating your own adventures, supplements, and tools.

You are allowed and encouraged (but not required) to use the "Compatible with Dragons Beyond" logo in your product and on the website or storefront where you promote it.
Terms of Use
If you adhere to the terms below, you may publish third-party material stating compatibility with Dragons Beyond. The third-party material may be offered for free or sold for a profit without the need to provide royalties to Rod Hampton. The use of the compatibility logo is also royalty free.
Content Guidelines
When creating Dragons Beyond-compatible content:
- Stay true to the spirit of old-school gaming and the 1973 draft rules. You must make an effort to ensure that all rules mechanics used in your product are compatible with the Dragons Beyond rules
- Create content that is appropriate for ages 12 years and up and avoid overtly sexual content such as depictions or descriptions of sexual acts
- Do not publish content that is discriminatory or demeaning toward any human (or humanoid) race, color, creed, sexual orientation, or biological gender. Do not describe or depict things that could be construed as racist, homophobic, or transphobic
- Respect the intellectual property of others. Ensure that the trade dress of your product has fonts, colors, layout, artwork, and stylistic elements that are not overly similar to Dragons Beyond
- If you refer readers to sections of Dragons Beyond, do not use page numbers. Instead, make a reference to the booklet, section, and subheading; for example, 'Volume I, Classes, Magic-Users' should be used instead of page 23
Rod Hampton reserves the right to revoke this license for violation of the Content Guidelines. The revocation occurs immediately upon transmission of notice using commercially reasonable means including email, tagging, website posting, and public announcement.
